Flames Club Ambassador Program

If you love college athletics or want to add some work experience to your resume, there is no better way to be involved than to serve as a Flames Club Ambassador! Ambassadors serve Flames Club donors on game days and at donor events. Flames Club members donate to support Liberty Athletics and student-athletes. There are more than 5,000 annual Flames Club members that we interact with on game days and at events.
Ambassadors consist of over 70 students who serve as hospitality and/or parking attendants. They greet and connect with donors who join us on campus for game days and events. Ambassadors represent the Flames Club, Liberty Athletics, the University, and our faith throughout the community with both home and visiting fans. Join our team to help make the Liberty game day experience the best it can be!
HIRING AMBASSADORS FOR FALL OF 2025
Q&A
What does an Ambassador position look like?
There are two different Ambassador opportunities and Ambassadors can choose if they have a preference of one or both:
- Parking Staff: Parking staff are required to work all home football games, in which shifts can vary from half day to full day shifts. You will get to work with other classmates and friends while protecting the parking lots for our Flames Club donors. Responsibilities include protecting parking lots, scanning parking passes, setting up parking tents/cones, and greeting and answering donors’ questions.
- Hospitality Staff: Hospitality staff are required to work all home football games, greeting Flames Club members at games, and proving them with the best game-day experience. Responsibilities include, wrist banding, optional waitressing, and providing an extra level of access control to our suites and club room level. Hospitality staff also have the option to pick up shifts for donor events such as luncheons and banquets.
Set-up/Tear Down and Special Events:
- Ambassadors have the option to pick up extra shifts as desired for pre and post-game set up and tear down days. They can also apply for shifts for special donor events throughout the year.
How many hours do I work as an Ambassador?
Unlike typical part-time jobs, there is no specific amount of hours Ambassadors work each week. All shifts are the day before or after game days, game day, and event days.
On football game days, parking attendants can expect to work 12-16 hour days depending on game start time. Other sporting events and donor events are typically around 4-8 hour shifts. Hospitality staff typically arrive 1-3 hours before a game and stay through the end of the game/event. For weekday Football games, Ambassadors receive an excused absence to class.
Shift Requirements:
Home Football shifts are required for all Ambassadors. Basketball, baseball, and donor event shifts are available on a first-come first-serve basis.
What is the attire for Ambassadors?
As a representative of the Flames Club & Liberty Athletics, a professional appearance is expected at all times. This can vary greatly from game to game depending on assigned roles, tasks, and weather.
Each ambassador will be provided with:
1 Polo
1 T-shirt
1 Dress Accessory (men = tie, women = scarf)
1 Hat
Set-Up and Teardown:

Can I complete my CSER hours through this position?
Many Ambassadors choose to complete their CSER hours working with the Flames Club. In order to do so, please contact Jack DeLuca at jfdeluca@liberty.edu. CSERs will keep track of unpaid hours to count towards their CSER hour requirement. Once complete, the student will return to paid hourly shifts.
How are shifts scheduled?
The primary work opportunity for ambassadors is on game days for football, men’s and women’s basketball, and baseball. There are additional opportunities for events (luncheons and banquets), special events both on and off campus, and set-up & teardown related to events.
Every ambassador should expect to work all 6 home football games. For the fall of 2025, those dates can be found HERE.
Game days are full, long days which may begin at 6 AM or earlier, and for an evening game can last late into the evening.
Scheduling is completed via the SubItUp app. All Ambassadors are automatically assigned shifts for football game days. Other assignments will be made available for other events, and may be traded, and on occasion declined if there is a scheduling conflict. Ambassadors seeking more or less hours should contact Taylor Stuenzi at tmcgee1@liberty.edu to discuss their time availability.
